Wanted to try Pho and this was the place that came up closest to me. Glad I gave it a shot, from the moment you walk in the door it is a great atmosphere. They are very kind and helpful with the menu. The vegetable broth in this Pho was amazing and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The portion is huge and definitely worth it. I really want to come back and try the Banh Mi.

My wife and I are visiting Asheville all the way from Washington State, and finding Pho Real in North Asheville was the absolute highlight of our trip. We are big fans of Vietnamese food back home, but this spot completely blew us away. Hands down, they serve the most amazing pho in Asheville. The broth was seasoned to absolute perfection—deep, rich, and full of flavor. I ordered the pho with all the meats, and every single bite was incredibly tender and delicious. Beyond the food, the hospitality here is unmatched. The staff treated us like old friends from the moment we walked through the door. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The atmosphere was also incredible, featuring great music that set the perfect, relaxed vibe for a meal. It is a very nice, welcoming place to eat and hang out with friends. We had such a memorable experience here. If our travels ever bring us back to Asheville, North Carolina, Pho Real will be our very first stop. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Very tasty pho. The broth has incredible flavour and the noodles, veg and tofu are all good too. My dad said the broth made him very thirsty (that could be because he drank every last drop of it and it probably has a fair amount of salt), but I haven’t had an issue with that. I usually have to take leftovers with me because it’s quite a large portion. The staff are always friendly too. Good for vegans and vegetarians. You can eat out or dine in and it’s yummy, but eating in is definitely better.

I was really excited, the food was very good and fresh with generous portions of vegetables and everything. I got the vegetable Pho with shrimp added, delicious high-quality shrimp and also in the fresh rolls really big and delicious. My only suggestion is better sauces. The peanut sauce for the fresh roll kind of tasted like corn syrup. I added a little soy sauce to it. The soup broth could’ve been a little more flavorful, but overall the food seemed very fresh with lots of vegetables and garnishes! Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

Pho Real is exactly the kind of spot Asheville needs, the kind of place where the food is outstanding but you don’t have to get dressed up for it. Yes, the counter/kiosk setup can create a small bottleneck at times, but honestly, a little patience goes a long way, something most people could use more of these days. As someone who was a chef for 16 years, I can easily taste the freshness here. The beef broth pho is rich and full of depth, and the vegetable broth is just as flavorful, which is rare to find. The steamed shrimp spring rolls are huge, clean, and super fresh. The two guys running the front are genuinely nice, helpful, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I’ve been two nights in a row and left fully satisfied both times. Great spot in a great little plaza. I’ll definitely be back.
